The Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica manages the administrative infrastructure which supports the research conducted by the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and the Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS).
Since 1989, the Fundació Clínic has promoted research and teaching in the health sciences field. In addition to providing administrative support for research, it takes part in fundraising and promoting biomedical research.
The Fundació Clínic also organises specialised training and oversees compliance with the industry’s codes of ethics and standards of professional conduct. The Fundació Clínic also participates in international projects, such as, for example, the Centro de Investigación en Salud Internacional de Manhiza (CISM) in Mozambique or the Maternity Ward of the Hospital Español de Tetuán (Morocco).
